Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan joined the
Banega Swachh India Cleanathon, and hailed the state's performance for achieving considerable success as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. "The state has better rural sanitation coverage than the national average and 378 urban local bodies have become open defecation free. We aim to go completely open defecation free by the end of 2018," said the chief minister.
