Madurai's wall of shame brought down
A part of Madurai's wall of shame that separates the upper castes from the Dalits in a village has been brought down.Early on Tuesday morning, police broke a portion of the 100-metre wall.The upper castes of the village had erected this wall to keep the Dalits out. Three hundred people belonging to the upper caste have surrendered their ration cards in protest after Dalits demanded that the wall be demolished.
