Maha Kumbh: An Economic Boon
The biggest ever congregation of religious devotees in human history during Maha Kumbh 2025 has given a big boost to economic activity in and around Prayagraj city. With over 64 crore devotees taking a holy dip in Sangam over a 45-day period, many sectors - from transport to hospitality, and restaurants to tourism - benefited from the Maha Kumbh. Importantly, a large number of devotees who visited Maha Kumbh also went to other religious places nearby like Ayodhya, Kashi and Chitrakoot.
