Mahakumbh 2024: Authorities Race Against Time To Complete Preparations
Different departments of the Uttar Pradesh government are racing against time to finish preparations for the Maha Kumbh Mela scheduled to commence from January 13. For the past few months, an army of workers has been diligently channelling the rivers, widening roads, and levelling the ghats to transform the city in anticipation of one of the largest religious events in the world. Among the key infrastructure for the Maha Kumbh includes setting up 160,000 tents, 150,000 toilets, 1,250 km of pipelines, 67,000 LED lights, 2,000 solar lights, and 300,000 plants.
