Long queues of devotees have formed outside one of ISKCON's massive kitchens at the Maha Kumbh Mela, eagerly awaiting their share of prasad. Holding plates in hand, they patiently wait as volunteers serve food at the langar. ISKCON has set up three enormous kitchens to prepare meals for thousands, aiming to serve up to 200,000 people daily. With the special bathing day of Mauni Amavasya on January 29th expected to draw a record crowd, preparations are in full swing.
