Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said he is concerned about the state's high death rate, the highest among all big states but said this is mainly because most of the patients who died were suffering from other diseases too and that patients were coming in the last stages. He also said the high number of cases is because Maharashtra is testing the most in the country adding that the Dharavi cases were extremely challenging to handle. However, he stressed that Mumbai is well prepared, saying only 35 coronavirus patients were currently in the ICU. He also added that there is no shortage of ICU beds or ventilators.
