Shiv Sena leader (Uddhav Thackeray faction) Sanjay Raut held a press conference in Mumbai on July 05 where he alleged that in the coming days, Maharashtra might see a new Chief Minister as there was no need for BJP to bring Ajit Pawar into the alliance government. He also alleged that by bringing senior leaders like Ajit Pawar into the alliance government, Eknath Shinde faction has been challenged. "The way Ajit Pawar has been brought in, it was not needed. He had a complete majority, his figure had reached 170, yet by bringing senior leaders like Ajit Pawar and some MLAs in front of him, he challenged the Shinde faction, ending the power of the Shinde faction. Chief Minister may change in coming days," said Sanjay Raut.
