While for many of us living in big cities, the big concern is making sure we drink that prescribed eight glasses of water a day but for many of our country even one is a luxury. As Maharashtra faces its worst drought in 47 years, NDTV travels to the drought-hit areas to show the struggles faced by people living there. This is not a problem unique to Maharashtra, over 43% India is facing drought; the situation is grim in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu etc. A deficient monsoon has also led to over-usage of existing resources leading to 91 major reservoirs across India left with a mere 21 percent of the total storage capacity. Tonight on Left Right and Centre, we discuss the water crisis on our hands, the alarm bells are ringing but its business as usual. Are the governments doing enough?
