Maharashtra set for massive power cuts
The Maharashtra state government has decided to increase the 24 hours power cut in industrial areas in the state to 40 hours. Industry all across the state has been hit and entrepreneurs are growing increasingly worried. There are dark days for Ashok Pendse, a small entrepreneur in Thane outside Mumbai. He is upset about the state's decision to enforce 40 hours of power cuts every week in industrial belts across the state.
