Four accused in the killing of two students in Manipur have been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). They have been taken to Assam, where they will be produced before a local court. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said the main accused in the kidnapping and killing of the two students have been arrested, as assured by his government earlier this week. A CBI team led by Special Director Ajay Bhatnagar had reached Manipur on September 27 to investigate the murder of the two students. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday said Bangladesh- and Myanmar-based insurgents attempted to "wage war against India". The NIA arrested Seiminlun Gangte in a case related to the transnational conspiracy.
