After the National Investigation Agency acquitted Sadhvi Pragya in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Julio Ribeiro has staunchly defended martyr Hemant Karkare, saying "don't malign his memory." On NDTV's Walk The Talk programme, Mr Ribeiro said, "This was an insult to Karkare's memory."
