Mamata Banerjee Claims Bengal Violence Was Planned At A Meet With Bengal Imams West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the violence over the Waqf law was "planned" and suggested a conspiracy by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BSF to allow the entry of Bangladeshi miscreants to fuel unrest in the state. In a meeting with Muslim clerics in Kolkata, the fiery Trinamool Congress chief assured them that her party was at the forefront in the fight against the Waqf law and urged them to engage in peaceful protests.
