After her ginormous victory today in Bengal, the petite Mamata Banerjee's political weight has substantially shot up. Talking to NDTV about whether the natural order of politics may move her to Delhi, possibly as a Prime Ministerial contender, Ms Banerjee said, "I am a commoner, I don't want to be more...I am not a greedy person". In a clear sign of how regional powerhouses like her could form an index to challenge the BJP, Ms Banerjee said, "There are so many friends who can sit and decide together." Those she counts as friends: Arvind Kejriwal, Naveen Patnaik, Nitish Kumar. So what about Sonia Gandhi? "Don't ask me that," she said.
