Mamata woos industrialists
At Mamata Banerjee's first interaction with industrialists after becoming West Bengal Chief Minister, the focus was very much on land acquisition. And Mamata, very clear on the way forward, said that the government did not want to have a role in land acquisition. "You may or may not agree with me, but land can only be bought. Taking it forcefully is just not an option," Mamata said.
