Man Arrested For Killing In Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj
The man who shot dead 22-year-old Chandan Gupta during communal clashes in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj has been arrested, the police said today. A total of 20 people have been named by the police in connection with Mr Gupta's death during a "Tiranga Yatra" organized to mark this year's Republic Day. The incident had led to violence that lasted three full days, following which the police had to retort to arson in the town. While the administration in Kasganj struggled to hold peace and soothe tempers, more "Tiranga yatras" were taken out in other towns in Western Uttar Pradesh.
