Man Beaten To Death In Jharkhand By Mob

A young man, 24-year-old Tabrej Ansari, was beaten to death by a mob as they watched and egged on his attackers. He was beaten on suspicion of having stolen a motorcycle. In the video, Mr Ansari is seen pleading with his attackers and begging to be let go. He was thrashed allegedly for over 12 hours before the police came and took him away. Four days later he collapsed and was taken to hospital, where he died possibly of internal injuries. Videos of the mob lynching was shared widely on social media. An FIR has been filed and a man has been arrested. Mr Ansari's family says the mob and the policemen who did not act on time should be booked for his death.
