Maneka Gandhi Files Nomination From Sultanpur Lok Sabha Seat

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi today filed nomination from Sultanpur Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, the Election Commission had banned Maneka Gandhi for campaigning for 48 hours as the BJP candidate from Sultanpur had asked a gathering of Muslims to vote for her, saying otherwise else she might not be inclined to be responsive to their requests. Sultanpur will vote on May 12. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
