Manipur blockade: Fuel crisis worsens, prices soar sky-high
While the rest of the country agonises about paying Rs. 2 more for petrol, Manipur's crisis is worsening. With both highways blocked by the agitating Naga group, fuel is running out in the state capital Imphal. The entire region has remained cut off for 99 days now, with the highway blocked by protestors of various political affiliations. Supplies of fuel are down just to a one-day backup and prices of commodities are sky high.
