At a time when there is outrage and shock across the nation over the horrific viral video of two women in ethnic violence hit Manipur, now politics over viral videos has spilled over to the politically volatile West Bengal, where BJP alleges its woman candidate stripped and paraded naked in Howrah. Police, however, have denied these claims. The Trinamool Congress has hit back saying it was a case of theft where two women tried to steal something from the marker. Ahead of big 2023 Lok Sabha polls, politics on women torture is gaining ground.
