The elections to two Lok Sabha seats in violence-hit Manipur will be held in two phases on April 19 and 26. Inner Manipur and some segments of Outer Manipur will vote in Phase 1 (April 19) while the remaining parts of Outer Manipur will go to polls in Phase 2 (April 26). Voting on one seat will be held twice due to displacement in the state, which is gripped by recurring bouts of violence since ethnic clashes between two communities erupted on May 3 last year. NDTV speaks exclusively to Manipur's Chief Electoral Officer.
