After several ethnic groups boycotted the Manipur peace committee, the centre is resorting to backchannel talks with all stakeholders to restore peace in the violence-torn state. The centre is working on negotiating a narrow common ground between the warring communities. Manipur has witnessed violence for the past two months, and things have just started to go back to normal with the state government dismantling bunkers and reopening schools.
