Riot-hit Manipur continues to witness conflict and violence even after a year. The unrest has led to state-wide disputes and loss of numerous lives. After ethnic clashes, a new spell of protests jolted the north-eastern state. The Central govt re-imposed the AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) in Manipur's six police station areas, including Jiribam on November 14. Hundreds of women took out demonstrations and rallies in Kakching District against the re-imposition of AFSPA Act .
