Former PM Manmohan Singh passed away on Dec 26 due to age-related medical conditions at the age of 92, AIIMS Delhi informed. Known as ‘soft-spoken’ technocrat, Manmohan Singh is known as the “architect of economic reform” in India who shaped the country’s global rise. On his demise, the Former PM was honoured by global leaders for his transformative impact on India and its international relations. From French President Macron to Maldives President Muizzu; world leaders remembered Dr Singh as a ‘Great Man’, ‘incorruptible’ and ‘visionary’. Dr Manmohan Singh, born in Punjab in 1932, served two terms as Prime Minister of India- from 2004 to 2014. Singh who served as PM of India- from 2004 to 2014 under UPA regime, was also the first Sikh to assume the top office.
