Manmohan Singh's Landlady Recalls Leader's Time In Assam
Ever since Manmohan Singh stepped into politics as a Rajya Sabha member from Assam, his address, as mentioned in his affidavit, has been House no. 3989, Nandan Nagar, Sarumtria, Guwahati till his fifth term in the Upper House ended on July 30 this in 2019. It was in 1991 , Assam's former Congress chief minister Hiteswar Saikia promptly agreed to host him and let out his house in Guwahati to Singh, which later became the Singh's new address. The Singhs also got their names in the electoral rolls transferred from New Delhi to Assam.
