Manohar Shyam Joshi passes away
Manohar Shyam Joshi, well known author of Hindi literature and often called the Father of Indian soap operas died on Thursday in New Delhi following a brief illness. His creations Hum Log and Buniyad became two of the longest running TV serials and influenced an entire generation of Indians. Joshi is also known for his novels. He's also had a long stint as a journalist, both in the broadcast and the print media.
