Margins to Expand by 100 BPS: Ashok Leyland
Gopal Mahadevan, CFO at Ashok Leyland, says that the commercial vehicle maker will expand margins by 100 basis points after passing on the 4 per cent hike in excise duties from January 1. Because Ashok Leyland has production in the excise exempt area of Pant Nagar, there will be an uptick in margins to the tune of 100 basis points.
