Former governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England Mark Carney is set to step into the role of Canada's new prime minister, replacing Justin Trudeau, who announced his resignation in January. And interestingly, he will be only the second prime minister in Canadian history without a seat in parliament. Carney, who won the Liberal leadership election by a landslide with 85.9% of the vote, now faces mammoth economic, trade and foreign policy challenges.
