Market gloom fails to dampen Diwali spirit

Many were worried this year that the festival of lights would have the Sensex casting a shadow after all, the markets are down by 57 per cent. However, as NDTV found, it didn't dampen the spirits, people still bought presents, they were still entertaining friends and family and most importantly, they were still celebrating. Just a simple rangoli, no lights and not much glitter and when a jeweller is complaining around Diwali things can't be very bright.
