A large number of Army aspirants from multiple states have been camping in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, for the Territorial Army recruitment drive. Due to the postponement of a similar recruitment in Danapur, Bihar, many aspirants from Uttar Pradesh traveled to Uttarakhand to participate in the event. However, the aspirants faced significant hardships, including high travel costs (up to Rs 1000) and spending nights on roads and fields. Despite these difficulties, Pithoragarh's District Magistrate, Vinod Giri Goswami, assured that adequate arrangements for transportation, accommodation, and food have been made for the aspirants.
