MBBS In India Only For The Rich And Affluent, Says Student's Mother
23-year-old Amith is a fifth-year MBBS student in Ukraine's Kharkiv National Medical University. He is one of three other students – cousin brother Suman and Naveen, who was killed in shelling in Kharkiv – from his village in Karnataka's Haveri district pursuing medical education in Ukraine. Speaking exclusively to NDTV, his mother Savitha says if pursuing MBBS in India was affordable for families with a poor background, students wouldn't have left for Ukraine.
