Making way through the nooks and crannies of Rajmahal Hills of Jharkhand, we reach Chuha Pahar, an isolated tribal village. The inhabitants of the village belong to the Sauriya Paharia adivasi community and depend on firewood for their daily livelihood. The village has a school with empty classrooms. Villagers complain that teachers do not come to school, citing the lack of a motorable road. As a result of corruption, pilferage and lack of monitoring, children in the hills suffer from malnutrition and acute infections. NDTV along with Video Volunteers, travelled to schools in Sahebganj region to find out the state of education and the reality of mid-day meals in these schools.
