Measures needed to prevent mis-selling of insurance products: HDFC Life Insurance
The government's proposals to cut service tax and also make it easier for insurance companies to launch and sell new insurance products could help provide a boost to the insurance industry, says HDFC Life Insurance. However, Amitabh Chaudhury, CEO of the company adds that it may be difficult for regulators to stick to the timelines suggested by the government. He adds that regulators must ensure measures to prevent mis-selling of insurance products.
