Matilda Kullu is an ASHA worker for the past 15 years in Gargadbahal village in Odisha's Sundargarh district. When she started her work, the villagers neither visited a doctor or a hospital if they fell sick. Matilda has had to battle deep rooted issues of superstition, casteism and the COVID-19 pandemic to become the first ASHA worker to be featured in the 'Forbes India W-Power 2021' list.
