Iltija Mehbooba Mufti, daughter of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, is trailing in her electoral debut for the Srigufwara - Bijbehara seat, traditionally held by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) since 1996. With her mother opting out of the contest, Iltija represents the third generation of the Mufti family in this significant political battleground.
