Mercy killing plea falls on deaf ears
Five-year-old Naveen Kumar coos, cradled in the safety of his mother's arms and reflecting the joy of being loved unconditionally, as perhaps only a mother can. It broke this mother's heart that all doctors she took her son to, gave up the hope too soon. So she asked the district administration for her only son to be put to death and for his organs to be donated so that he would live on through others.
