Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children is still battling a no-response from distributors in India, leading many to ask whether the film will ever be screened. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Rushdie says he hasn't given up hope just yet, but ruled out that controversy around the banned Satanic Verses has little to do with the issue.
