Milind Deora On What His Father Taught Him The Day He Entered Politics
Milind Deora spoke to NDTV after quitting the Congress and joining Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena. Talking about what his father taught him when he entered politics, Mr Deora said, "It is sad that Congress, which was once upon a time, a great party has gone to the level of calling people names and calling the Prime Minister names. If you've seen my track record of over 20 years and the last 10 years, not once have I made personal statements against anyone. I was told very clearly by my father when I entered politics that you should speak well about yourself, about what you intend to do, and have the confidence to talk about your own vision. Don't deride others. This is what my father taught me on Day 1 of politics."
