When asked whether the government needs to come clean on what is happening on the LAC, Congress Spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said "this is a government that wants to live in denial, doesn't want to take the country into confidence, one that believes that the opposition doesn't deserve to know what is happening with national security, one that wants to look the other way when the enemy is inside your territory, at your border acting truant. The reality is everyone inside and outside parliament wishes well for India. We only need to know what is happening. There are reports of skirmishes on the border, the government wants to look the other way. The PM (Narendra Modi) has told the entire country no one has entered. The PLA is speaking the same language. It doesn't bode well. The PM's statement has to be supported by a bunch of lies that the defence ministry has to then corroborate."
