Narendra Modi's fast for 'sadhbhavna' or communal harmony has been strongly condemned by those affected by the 2002 Gujarat riots. One of them, Rupa Dara Mody, who lost her son in these riots and whose life inspired the film Parzania, spoke on NDTV and questioned the relevance of Modi's fast nine years later. "Narendra Modi cannot know a mother's pain," she said.
