As the heaviest rain since the 2005 deluge hit Mumbai in 24 hours, India's financial capital was brought down to its knees. Twenty three people have died, the airport was flooded and more than 50 flights were cancelled today; many were diverted and local trains paralysed. The situation is slowly easing, with officials saying the worst of the rain is over. As other parts of the country stare at drought, Mumbai is flooded. Clearly, climate change is hitting us hard, but are we waking up to this crisis?
