Monsoon Misery: No Lessons Learnt?
From gaping potholes on the streets of our biggest cities to roads caving in as water logging turns our roads into sinkholes. Today pictures that tell their own story, three days of continuous rains have exposed extremely shoddy infrastructure in one of Uttar Pradesh's most high profile projects in recent years - the 302 km long Agra-Lucknow expressway that was opened in 2016. Four people in an SUV has a miraculous escape when their car fell in to a ditch after a portion of Expressway's service road collapsed near Agra. What followed was a bizarre and extremely inept rescue. This is an Expressway that cost a staggering 13,000 crores to construct. Within months of being thrown open to public, it's become a serious life hazard. Tonight on Live Stream we ask who will take responsibility? Is it our duty now as citizens to make a difference?
