Monsoon severely affects Guwahati
Thousands of people are affected by floods in Assam. Floodwater is receding now and authorities have announced a health alert to ward off the cause of waterborne diseases. On Wednesday, people injured themselves by slipping on the roads and falling off from bicycles and motorbikes. The drains are overflowing and there is filth and stench in the air.
