Montek on stimulus package
As part of its plans to stem the slowdown in the Indian economy in the wake of global crisis, the government has announced a 4 per cent cut in ad valorem Cenvat rate, according to news reports. In other plans to increase spending, the government would increase its plan expenditure by Rs 20,000 crore in this fiscal.
