After the gruesome rape and murder of an eight-year-old nomad girl in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua, there are consistent attempts to subvert investigation and shield culprits. The policemen assigned to investigate the case were actually part of the crime; the politicians and ministers in the government supposed to give justice to the victim are openly rallying behind accused. The victim was even denied burial in Rasana village because villagers didn't want a graveyard to come up in their neighbourhood.
