Mumbai will soon bid goodbye to the chawl used by Lokmanya Tilak to spread the message of the freedom struggle. Falling prey to redevelopment, the chawl will give way to a high-rise tower. Keshavji Naik Chawl, birthplace of the community Ganesh celebrations started by Lokmanya Tilak back in 1893 to mobilize opinion for India's freedom struggle.
