Mumbai cops get clean chit for '93 riots
The Mumbai police had been accused of playing a biased role during the riots of 1992-93 but strangely a state committee scrutinising riot cases says it hasn't found a single case of oversight by the cops. Its findings are part of an affidavit submitted by the Maharashtra government to the Supreme Court on the status of the riot cases.
