Mumbai's Civic Body To Allow Private Agencies To Adopt Parks, Grounds
The BMC, the richest municipal corporation in the country, released a draft policy saying private parties will be allowed to adopt open spaces like parks and playgrounds. Activists have opposed the idea, asking why such a rich corporation cannot handle open spaces on its own and who will keep checks and balances if private players get involved.
