New Report On Muslim Population In Telangana
A new report on Muslims in Telangana has been released that says the proportion of Muslims in the 20 per cent poorest in the state is growing, that they are often in as bad a situation if not worse off than OBC, SC and ST. Hyderabad MP and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi says Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who recently launched the Dalit Bandhu Scheme, should include at least the bottom 1-2 per cent of Muslims for a similar benefit, and provide Rs 10 lakh to every such family.
