Nainital Carries Out Mega Anti-Encroachment Drive On 'Enemy Area'

Nainital District Administration demolished 134 illegal encroachments at the Raja Mahmudabad area in Uttarakhand's Nainital on July 22. Four bulldozers were engaged in the demolition work of encroachments on the 'enemy area', a part of Metropole Hotel.  "The entire area has been vacated. We are sure that this encroachment will be removed in a peaceful manner. There are 1.22 acres of land from the road where the encroachment has to be removed. We had 134 families in the survey who have now moved out," said Nainital ADM Shivcharan Dwivedi.
