NaMo TV, the channel exclusively featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speeches and pro-BJP content, is an "advertising platform" that does not need the government's approval, sources in the Information and Broadcasting ministry have told NDTV. The ministry has been asked for a report by the Election Commission following opposition complaints against the channel, launched without fanfare just days before the national election.
